Syreeta & Jamarr’s Engagement

Syreeta and Jamarr found me through weddinggawker.com (this is a great site for all my future brides). They are a fun-loving couple who happen to be high school sweethearts from West Virginia. They went on to attend college together at Marshall University. Syreeta and Jamarr wanted their shoot to have different scenery other than blue pick up trucks, mountains, and coal mines….. so they decided to take their talents to South Beach. Aside from their accents (which I loved.. no seriously I was spoke like Jamarr for weeks..lol), they blended right in with the natives. By the end of the shoot, I officially deemed them honorary Miamians . Enjoy!

Jude & Nadine Wedding // Boca Raton, FL

Nadine, the bride- to -be, contacted me after viewing some of my pictures on Facebook. During our initial meeting, she let me know that she knew a bit about photography so I knew that I had to bring my A game! By the end of our meeting, I left with the sense that this was going to be an unforgettable ceremony. I was right! For starters, I was excited when I found out that it was going to be a Haitian/Jamaican wedding. I put all my best Kreyol to use (Sak Pase) and brushed up on my Patwa (It’s Irie Mon)!
As you can see, this wedding was as beautiful as it was fun. The venue, The Addison, in Boca Raton, provided the perfect scenery to capture the romance and bliss of the day. I also found a new assistant to help me keep the ladies calm… shout out to lil’ Jude! To top it all off, 4th of July came early this year. The fireworks were the perfect ending to a fairytale wedding. Enjoy

Errol & Whitney’s Engagement

Oh how I luv these two! This photoshoot was absolutely one of my all-time favorites. I left feeling inspired. First of all, Errol & Whitney came prepared with the entire Macy’s store in the trunk of their car. If they had a website, it would be called www.DaBomb.com.edu.tv.org!!!
Errol and Whitney are college sweethearts who met one magical night in downtown Miami. Errol quickly followed up their initial encounter by conveniently attending (wink, wink) a bake sale at Florida International University in which Whitney was hosting for her student organization. It was then that Errol let Whitney know that “Team Jones” was going to draft her 1st round pick. (I’m not making this up, he really said that.. Im stealing it btw..lol) Whitney and Errol’s personalities are fun and free so we planned their engagement shoot from a carefree, light-hearted approach. This couple was truly a dream to shoot. The easiness of their relationship and the connnection shared between them was beautifully captured on camera.

2011 has been an amazing year for me. I’ve had the fortune of multiple projects being featured by Essence Magazine. As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve also received the incredible honor of having my work chosen by Essence as one of the favorites of 2011 . I always tell people ”I’m only as good as my clients” and this year I have had amazing clients who believed in me and gave me full creative freedom. The Perfect Proposal
September 21, 2011
I received a phone call from Adrian asking me to shoot his proposal to his girlfriend Latori. From day one, I was pretty impressed with the detailed planning that he put behind creating the perfect atmosphere to pop the question. I mean he left no stone unturned……from the angle of the sun to the birds singing the tune of their song. To begin with, he created the idea of proposing in the same spot where their sparks initially began to fly. He lured her to Barry University Campus under the facade that she was receiving a photo shoot for her birthday. During the first half of the shoot I was trying my hardest to not let the cat out of the bag. As the moment approached, I must admit I got a little nervous and almost dropped my camera….lol Needless to say, everything went according to plan. I was very honored to share their special moment. Congrats once again. P.S. Adrian will be the creative director for my big day when it’s my time…

Gennarro & Monique Engagement

I’ve known Gennarro since the good ol’days in Tallasassee. Let start by saying that this engagement shoot was especially exciting because I was there when Gennarro & Monique first met! Back to the story at hand….These two remind me of storybook romance. He was the star football player and she was the prettiest girl in the school. With the help of Monique’s cousin, Yashica, I was able to bring their novel to life. They looked so good together that I shot the whole shoot with my eyes closed….lol I couldn’t take a bad picture of them if I wanted to! It was a pleasure shooting an old friend with his soon-to-be wife. I look forward to capturing the next chapter of their story during their wedding next summer.

Artist’s well known and locally including myself will showcase unique art and photography dedicated to Lupus survivors at the new, and what has become one of the most lavish venue’s in Miami, Grand Central, at 697 North Miami Ave. – August 27th, 2011.
Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. is the foremost national nonprofit health organization dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus; a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Their research estimates that at least 1.5 million Americans have lupus. It is believed that 5 million people throughout the world have a form of lupus. Destination Wedding // Negril, Jamaica

Moneyede & Darian… Where do I start?!?!? These two are like the aunts and uncles house that you were dying to go to when you were a kid because they’re so cool. I even went as far as filing adoption papers however I was a little bit over the age limit….lol. Moneyede and Darian chose a great location to have their wedding in beautiful Negril, Jamaica at Tensing Pen. Jamaica was full of vibrant colors, deep culture and most of all …. all curry everything.
All jokes aside their positive energy was contagious and I can truly say that I made some lifetime friends in Jamaica. I am bless to have had an opportunity to work with them. Respect (insert fist bump).
First a quick hangout at the world famous Rick’s Cafe. The fellas even jumped of the cliff…. :-O Im glad I have the excuse of taking the pictures.
